ontemporary Sunday School
: Please join us every Sunday morning at 9:15 am in the Boardroom. Min. Mike Jones & Deacon Alvin Holloway are teaching from “Worship from the Tabernacle”. The next CAM Sunday school book will be Surrender to Love by David G. Benner. The book is $9.36 at Amazon. 

“Sweets for the Students”  Sunday, March 7th, immediately following the 10:15 am service, the Academic Excellence Ministry invites you to attend an informational session, while enjoying delicious desserts. "Sweets for the Students," hosted by the Parents of 2009 UMBC Scholarship recipients will provide a variety of desserts (some are even healthy) for you to enjoy.  The event is free, but we do ask that you support the scholarship program with a donation.

Wednesday Night: If you need a boost during the course of the week, consider joining us for mid-week service. An associate minister will deliver this week’s brief message. Following the message, Pastor Jones will expound and teach from Sunday’s sermon. 

NOTICE: All announcements to be printed in the bulletin must be in the Church Office by Wednesday noon.  Announcements which arrive after Wednesday NOON, will be published in the next week’s bulletin (if the announcement is still relevant).  Your cooperation in this endeavor is greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

The Outreach Ministry is looking for volunteers to help with the following initiatives: Campus, Evangelism, Athletic, Transportation, Least of These, Prison/Jail, Justice and Theatrical ministries. The purpose of the Outreach Ministry is to bring the church and its surrounding community into fellowship and partnership. Please contact Minister Camille B. Jones if you are interested in making an impact in the community through the Outreach Ministry.

Be A S.T.A.R! Literacy program is in need of more tutors. One (1) hour per week is all that is needed to help improve a child's reading ability.

EnhanceFitness Exercise Class:
The class meets Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 2:00-3:00 pm. New participants (both men & women) are welcome. Start the New Year by improving your Health.
 

FREE FLU SHOT!!! Protect yourself from the H1N1 Virus, On Sunday, March 21 from 8:30 am - 12:30 pm the Ingham County Health Department will administer flu shots after 7:30am & 10:15 am services at Union Missionary Baptist Church. Community Partner H1N1 & UMBC Health Ministry.


The Centennial Cookbooks
have arrived and will be on sale after church each Sunday. The cost is $16.00. There are a limited number of cookbooks. First
come, first served. The cookbooks will also be available for sale at the Riverwalk Theatre, during intermission. All proceeds support the Centennial Celebration.

The Angel Suites Nursery is very much in need of volunteers. Volunteers work one Sunday per month. Won’t you please sign up? Your help is needed. After Church Service, nursery reps will be available at the Welcome Center or contact Sis. Bonnie DeGree.

Job Posting: Financial Administrator (part-time position)

The financial administrator maintains the financial records of the church including providing members with an accurate account of contributions; maintaining complete, accurate and systematic set of records of business transactions; preparing weekly and annual financial reports; preparing mailings and written communications. Must be able to exercise proper judgment in making decisions in accordance with established policies and procedures. Qualifications: Minimum of two (2) years experience in accounting and/or bookkeeping; ability to operate office equipment (e.g., copier, personal computer using Microsoft Office software, adding machine, etc.) and familiarity with Automated Church Systems (ACS) recommended.
